Somatic Reparenting

Most people think they’re reacting to life.

But often…
you’re reacting to a five-year-old version of you that never felt safe.

The tight chest when someone raises their voice.
The panic when someone pulls away.
The need to prove you’re “good enough.”

That’s not weakness.

That’s your inner child asking for a parent that never arrived.

Somatic reparenting is when you stop waiting for the world to soothe you…
and start becoming the safe place inside your own body.

When the anxiety rises, you pause.
You breathe slower.
You soften your shoulders.

And instead of abandoning yourself again, you whisper:

“I’m here.”
“You’re safe now.”
“We’re not alone anymore.”

Your nervous system doesn’t heal from thinking.
It heals from feeling safety in the body.

Every time you stay present with your body,
that younger version of you learns something new:

The danger is over.
The storm passed.
And someone finally stayed.

You did.

And that might be the most powerful form of healing there is.

Save this for the days your inner child needs a reminder. 🤍
