Let me say this in a simple way, because most people overcomplicate it.
Moving fast doesn’t mean you’re doing well. It just means you’re moving fast.
I’ve seen people work harder, take more action, stay busy all day… and still feel stuck, and it’s confusing because on paper everything looks right. You’re doing the things, showing up, pushing forward, but something still feels off.
That’s usually not a speed problem. It’s a direction problem.
If you’re heading the wrong way, going faster just gets you there sooner. That’s it. And a lot of people don’t realize this until they’re already tired, overwhelmed, or deep into something they don’t even enjoy.
Your body actually picks up on this before your mind does. That’s why you can feel restless, drained, or disconnected even when you’re being productive. It’s not because you’re lazy or unmotivated, it’s because something about the direction doesn’t feel right.
When your direction is right, things feel different. You still put in effort, but it doesn’t feel forced all the time. You don’t need to rush or prove anything. There’s a sense of clarity, like you know why you’re doing what you’re doing.
So instead of asking how to go faster, it’s worth asking where you’re actually going and whether it makes sense for you.
Because one step in the right direction will always be more valuable than a hundred steps in the wrong one.
